When Life finds Purpose...

Life is a precious jewel that ought not to be trifled with. It commands respect and good savour by whoever it takes flesh and body in. From the neurological circuitry in the brain and the spinal cord; the interconnected cardiac rhythm and beat of the heart, pulsating offshoots down vascular vessels all over the body to meet the entire intricacy in the biology of excretion, nutrition and whatnot; the inspiration of air triggered by counteracting muscular actions of the lungs and thoracic composites, supplementing the complex functions of the brain thus there are invaluable repositories of moments of joy, hysteria, sadness, glum and the likes, to the interaction of systems that beget the uniqueness of the human specie, his evolutionary sociocultural development, and transcendent scientific and technological innovations. All in all, emphasis and importance dwell on the fact that all are guided and enveloped by life, for without this source the body is useless. Needless to say, life demands appreciation.

Physical appearance, tradition, ethnicity, and nationality count not in determining the purpose of life. Life is inherently adaptive in these categories. The universe is extant before one's consciousness only because there is life. Therefore, any effort purporting colour or tribal preference amongst men only amounts to cutting his nose to spite of his face, for all are intrinsically one before life. Such stirring tends to make bricks without straw; it exposes the shortsightedness of viewing external biological features easily altered by the environment as commensurate life. Even the colour, beauty, and class you deem esteem in the world are submissive to life. Life brings light into your world and takes light away when it is no more. Now, whatever you make of that light becomes your cup of tea: a curse or blessing. To few, it is a 'life-changing' call. To some, it is an opportunity, and sadly to many, this gift of choice is trivial and this triviality would connote a drawl on time, per se, a bottleneck on fulfilling life's purpose. Partakers would be quick to prioritize materialism over service, epicureanism over egalitarianism but they'd be advised to turn a new leaf because the essence of life chooses to emanate in vessels of forms that matter less. Even our creator endorses the said: "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of one of another". For this cause, we swear allegiance to movements like 'Black Lives Matter' across the world because in the midst of many, there are some that still believe in the message; that every life matters, be it an elite's or a pleb's.

Experiences and studies tell that life is finite. On this note, must we not relish the goodness there is in maintaining good relationships among family, friends and society, at least while we can? While the merits of these relationships include happiness, longer life span, self-esteem, confidence, self-discovery, adaptation, mental stability and many more, the task may prove to be demanding but the offshoots are usually salving. Therefore waste not the potentials of your life in fruitless indulgences like racism, immorality, terrorism, homicide and many other vices obtainable from the actions of a misguided life, but seek to love, appreciate, empathize and amend be it in your temperament or not like the famous philosopher, Mark Twain, once said “Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile.”

Oftentimes, we are overwhelmed by hurdles that prove to be impossible to jump, feats of intimidating tendencies that tame our confidence, or dreams surpassing mainstream thus seemingly improbable that we denounce far-fetched; as a result, many backslide, stooping low to the commonplace and others with poor foundations of integrity and decency choose to cut corners, plunging into anti-social ills thereby predisposing innocent lives to risk. Worse still, circumstances I would rather call 'eccentrics' expose life to certain degrees of emotional conflicts ranging from strife, grief, distress, depression, etc. All these are undeserving of anyone but at some point, one would have to come to terms with them. Therefore as dynamic and surplus as life can be, feuds in relationships, corporations, and modern societal settings are inevitable but placable. Life is such that they will abate, because they don't stand a chance; time shall determine how fleeting their effect shall last. Positive pre-existing bonds buffer these pricks of emotion and their pervasive impacts on lives' yearnings. In this light, is reiterating the essence of good relationships worthwhile- seeing beyond the clouds of biased conceit and ego to conciliate and dialogue. It is beyond doubt that a stable life is peopled, for there is no substance of life in a vacuum.

Dear reader, I implore you to know who you are; discover your life's tune and dance to its music. Everyone is challenged to explore these diverse life purposes only they know best how to. Be it talents, skills, gifts, inventiveness, special temperaments, ingenuity, etc, these gifts pave way for personal and societal growth if handled right by owners. So, navigate the leverages and opportunities therein, utilizing them every step of the way because "the right to life is not only an endowment but also blessing".
